What guests say
Brought my parents in from Teaneck. Three generations at one table. That’s the whole point.
“Hosted a work dinner. Every guest, kosher-keeping or not, raved about the branzino.”
“Finally — a Midtown kosher spot with the ambience to match the food.”
“Warm room, generous portions, and a real wine list. Parking is tight in Midtown (as expected).”
“Shabbat takeout was packaged beautifully and the fish was a standout.”
“The Dubai chocolate soufflé alone is worth the trip. We'll be back.”

Happy to help.
Anything we didn't answer here? Call us at 212-481-4222. We're always glad to help.
Do you cater?
Yes — weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, birthday parties, corporate dinners, office lunches, holiday programs. Anything from a small office drop-off to a 200-guest plated event. The catering page has the inquiry form; a planner picks up from there.
Do you offer reservations?
Yes. Reserve a table online any time, or call 212-481-4222. Walk-ins are welcome too. For parties of four or more, or any weekend evening, book a day or two ahead, since the dining room fills up after 9 PM.
Is Tiberias kosher?
Yes — kosher dairy and fish, supervised under OK Kosher Certification with three stringencies (Chalav Yisrael, Kemach Yashan, Mashgiach Temidi). A mashgiach is on the floor every hour we're open.
What does Chalav Yisrael mean?
Dairy supervised by an observant Jew from the moment of milking through delivery — the stricter of the two main kosher dairy standards. Every dairy ingredient at Tiberias is Chalav Yisrael, no exceptions. The full standards page goes into more detail.
Where are you located?
Tiberias is at 45 East 34th Street in Midtown Manhattan, between Madison and Park Avenues. The closest subway is the 33rd Street stop on the 6 line, two short blocks south.
What are your hours?
Sunday through Thursday from 12:00 PM to 2:00 AM. Friday is closed for Shabbat. Saturday opens after Shabbat ends and runs until 2:00 AM. We are one of the only kosher restaurants in NYC offering full table service this late, six days a week.
Do you serve sushi and fish?
Fish is the only animal protein we serve. Salmon, branzino, tuna, sea bass; the full sushi bar; pasta, wood-fired pizza, salads, dessert.
Are you open on Christmas Day?
Yes — Christmas Day is one of the busiest evenings of the year for kosher dining in Manhattan, and Tiberias runs full service. When the holiday falls Sunday–Thursday we keep regular hours (12 PM to 2 AM); when Christmas falls on a Friday we are closed for Shabbat. Reservations are strongly recommended — book online or call 212-481-4222.
When do you open Saturday night after Shabbat?
We open after Shabbat ends — roughly 8–9 PM in winter and 9–10 PM in summer, depending on the calendar. Saturday service runs straight through to 2 AM. Call 212-481-4222 for tonight's exact opening, or check our Instagram for the weekly post-Shabbat announcement.
Do you accept pre-Yom Kippur takeout orders?
Yes — the seudah hamafsekes (pre-fast meal) is one of our high-volume nights. Call 212-481-4222 a few days ahead to place advance orders for pickup. Tiberias is closed during Yom Kippur itself and reopens at the conclusion of the fast.
Do you offer a Shavuot dairy menu?
Shavuot is the dairy holiday — and Tiberias is a kosher dairy and fish restaurant year-round, so the standing menu (wood-fired pizza, cheese-heavy pasta, salmon risotto, dessert) reads as the Shavuot meal you'd want. Any special Shavuot offerings or extended hours are posted on Instagram and announced in advance. Tiberias is closed on yom tov itself.
Are you open on Pesach?
No. Pesach is our time to step back, recharge, and be with family. We close for the holiday and reopen right afterward. Call 212-481-4222 or check our Instagram for the exact reopening date.
There’s always a seat at our table.
